About me
Jestem nauczycielem chemii. Od ponad 20 lat uczę studentów Wydziału Farmaceutycznego. Od 2005 r. pełnię funkcję kierownika Katedry i Zakładu Chemii Nieorganicznej na Wydziale Farmaceutycznym Gdańskiego Uniwersytetu Medycznego.
I am a chemistry lecturer. I have been teaching students of the Faculty of Pharmacy for over 20 years. Since 2005, I have served as Head of the Department of Inorganic Chemistry at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Medical University of Gdańsk.
Zainteresowania naukowe
Research Interests
Moje zainteresowania naukowe skupiają się wokół projektowania i syntezy nowych leków peptydowych. W grupie tej na szczególną uwagę zasługują naturalne antybiotyki peptydowe, które stanowią obiecującą alternatywę w obliczu rosnącej oporności bakterii na konwencjonalne antybiotyki.
My research interests focus on the design and synthesis of novel peptide drugs. Within this group, natural antimicrobial peptides deserve special attention as a promising alternative in the face of growing bacterial resistance to conventional antibiotics.
Do innych obszarów moich zainteresowań należą poszukiwania proekologicznych metod analizy i oczyszczania związków chemicznych, co wpisuje się w globalny trend rozwoju zrównoważonej chemii i farmacji.
My other areas of interest include the search for eco-friendly methods of analysis and purification of chemical compounds, aligning with the global trend towards sustainable chemistry and pharmacy.
